The Grade B Listed Carbisdale Castle, owned by our Client, the Scottish Youth Hostel Association is an iconic property overlooking the River Carron, on the Kyle of Sutherland.
It was built for the Duchess of Sutherland in 1908 and is constructed in the Scots Baronial style.
Our instruction came after the property had suffered significant damage from a series of burst pipes and water entering at eaves level via water damming.
Subsequent to progressing stripping out works, the project extended beyond the original insurance remit, with extensive essential repairs to roofs, structural elements and general fabric and finishes actioned.
